On Monday, 6 February 2023, a 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck southern Türkiye (Turkey) and Syria. Later that day, two further large earthquakes (6.5 and 7.5) and a series of aftershocks hit the region. Then two weeks later, a 6.4 magnitude earthquake struck near Antakya in Türkiye – an area already severely affected by the first earthquakes.

More than 51,000 people have died in these disasters, with thousands more injured. Around 26 million people are currently in need of help. Our donation was made possible through our charity raffle to raise funds with winners given the option to choose from impressive prizes such as dinner for two plus a choice of concert in Glasgow or 2 VIP Wembley Club tickets for the 2023 FA Cup Final. As a result, we were able to raise £700 from client raffle and £90 from internal staff raffle.
