Riverbank School is situated in the community of Tillydrone and was formed out of the merger of St Machar and Donbank Primaries in August 2008. The school is part of the St Machar ASG. They also have a breakfast club and several lunchtime and after-school clubs which are popular with the children. Riverbank has achieved Gold Level Accreditation in UNCRC Rights Respecting School Award.

At Riverbank, the vision of Learning Together, Playing Together, and Achieving Together whilst promoting the values of Respect, Caring, Helping, Friendliness, and Fun is promoted.
